Candidate Filings
Individuals interested in running for a Council Member seat must file official paperwork to form a candidate political committee.  Once a candidate files a Statement of Organization or a $500 Threshold Exemption Statement, the candidate's political committee can start collecting donations and signatures for nomination petitions.  During the election cycle, each candidate committee that has filed a Statement of Organization is required to submit to the Town Clerk regularly scheduled campaign finance reports. Required documents include political committee paperwork, including nomination petitions, financial disclosure statements, campaign finances reports, and other candidate filing documents.
