Defensive Driving School
Available on Civil Traffic charges only.  By attending Defensive Driving School (DDS) you will receive a dismissal for only one moving violation charge.  You may be eligible to attend Defensive Driving School if you meet the following conditions:

•    Your complaint is for a Civil Traffic moving violation.
•    You have NOT attended DDS in Arizona within the last 12 months (violation date to
     violation date).
•    Your case is NOT set for a hearing.  You waive your right to attend DDS once the
     hearing has taken place.
•    You do NOT have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
•    If you are a minor, you MUST appear in court with a parent/legal guardian in order to
     attend DDS.
•    If you had an accident you MUST appear in court if you wish to attend DDS.

Before you call to schedule your class, please verify with the court that your citation has actually been filed with the court.
You MUST enroll and complete the class 7 days PRIOR to your court date.  If you need an extension to complete the class,
you will need to appear on your court date and request an extension.

Once you have completed DDS, the charge will be dismissed and you will NOT receive any points on your license.  If your citation is a town code violation, you may not wish to use DDS, as local town codes do not assess points on your license, nor do they get reported to MVD.

You have two ways to register for DDS:
a.  Call 1-888-334-5565 or
b.  www.azdrive.com

Please keep the certificate of completion for your records.  The school will notify the court that you have completed.
