2022 CANDIDATE ELECTION RESULTS

The Mayor and Council adopted the official results of the August 2, 2022 Primary election at their regular meeting on August 22, 2022.  View the official canvass.

2022 CANDIDATE ELECTIONS

The Town of Sahuarita will hold a Primary Election on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, for the purpose of electing three (3) Council Members to serve 4-year terms and one (1) Council Member to serve a 2-year term. A General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, to fill any Council Member seats that remain unfilled after the Primary Election. To be elected at the Primary Election, a candidate must receive a majority, as defined by law, of all the votes cast for Council Member.

Hybrid ELECTIONS

These elections will be conducted as hybrid elections. Voters may vote at any Vote Center on Election Day; vote early in person; request a ballot by mail, or request to be placed on the Active Early Voter List (AEVL) to receive mail ballots for all elections. 

ACTIVE EARLY VOTING LIST (AEVL)

Voters who are not registered as a member of one of the recognized political parties participating in the primary election, and who are on the AEVL will not automatically receive a ballot for the Town of Sahuarita, August 2, 2022 Primary Election. Voters who are not affiliated with a  recognized political party have the option of requesting a political party ballot of their choice or a local ballot listing only the candidates for the Sahuarita Town Council. Requesting a political party ballot for the Primary election will not change a voter’s party affiliation.

No official candidates.

ELECTION RESULTS

The election's unofficial results will be posted beginning at approximately 8 PM on election night and will continue following the election until all ballots are tabulated.  

Results will be posted on the Pima County Elections Department website.  To view unofficial election results, go to the Current Info tab on the Pima County Elections webpage and navigate to the 2022 Election Dates.  Under the August 2, 2022 Primary Election heading, go to Election Result and choose the Summary Results pdf.
