The Sahuarita Art on the Lake Festival will feature a Tony Plak mural on the southwest corner of the Sahuarita Lake walkway. The 25’ x 25’ mural project was funded by SAACA in partnership with the Town of Sahuarita at a total cost of $900. The hand painted mural will be at Sahuarita Lake park permanently with yearly maintenance provide by SAACA and the Town of Sahuarita. Tony Plak is a local artist from Nogales, Sonora Mexico.
The Sahuarita Art on the Lake Festival supports a goal by the Town of Sahuarita and the Sahuarita Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department to build the community through arts programming, providing a venue for many artisans to exhibit and sell their work and overall support the arts in the region.
