COURT NOTICE -
During the 53rd Legislative-Second Regular Session. the statutes governing Protective Orders was amended, thus creating the Arizona Protective Order Initiation & Notification Tool (AZPOINT). If you are in need of an Order of Protection, please log on to this link AZPOINT log in and follow the directions to submit your Protective Order electronically. Forms are also available at the courthouse for you to come in person to fill out and file your Order of Protection.


NOTE: Protective Orders include: Orders of Protection, Injunctions Against Harassment and Injunctions Against Workplace Harassment and may be issued by any court in the state of Arizona.

Protective Orders may be obtained at the Sahuarita Municipal Court Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please contact the court before appearing to ensure Judge availability.

You can petition the court for one of the following:

Orders of Protection: Are based on one of the following "family" relationship:

  • Married now or in the past
  • Live together now or lived together in the past
  • Parent of a child in common
  • One of you is pregnant by the other
  • You are a relative (parent, in-law, brother, sister, or grandparent)
  • Current or previous romantic or sexual relationship.

An alleged crime of domestic violence must have been committed against you by one of the relations listed above, within the last year to obtain the order.

Injunction Against Harassment: Prohibits a person from harassing, annoying or alarming another person, or directed at a specific person, without serving a legitimate purpose. There must be a series of acts (more than one) of harassment against you in the last year.

Injunction Against Workplace Harassment: May be filed by an employer or owner of a business or operation for the benefit of an employee or the business against a single act or series of acts of harassment.
