Do you know how many trees are owned by the Town of Sahuarita? (Neither do we.) Come help us figure it out!

Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department is looking for volunteers to participate in a tree inventory.

Sahuarita’s public trees are an important natural resource that we want to protect, preserve, enhance and manage. A comprehensive tree inventory and condition assessment will provide detailed information about the location, species, age, and condition of our public trees and we will use the collected data to create a planting plan in order to diversify the trees located on Town properties.

Lead volunteers attend training to learn the specific areas of tree data collection, assist with volunteer training, work with volunteers to collect data on selected inventory date(s), ensure accuracy of collection methods and data, and submit collected data to Arborist.
