Will supervise and manage the Crime Scene Specialist (CSS) in the Property and Evidence Section (P&E Section) as well as Crime Scene Team (CST) members. The CSS Supervisor will also supervise programs, special projects, and various related duties. Will make recommendations to the Command Staff and the Chief of Police regarding personnel, operations, and planning within the P&E Section. The CSS Supervisor attends meetings with the public and other departments, agencies, and organizations, representing the Town and Police Department. The CSS Supervisor will provide technical and forensic support in analyzing, photographing, collecting, preserving, and presenting physical evidence.  Duties include documenting, collecting, and processing crime scenes and evidence as needed as well as managing the P&E Section, releasing property and evidence to appropriate personnel in accordance with state laws, police department policy and Town code.
