In honor of the Town’s 25th Anniversary the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance (SAACA) and the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department is bringing a variety of new public art installations to town parks. Arizona artists Ghazal Gazi, Wesley Fawcett Creigh and Ignacio Garcia will paint murals on electrical boxes at Anamax, North Santa Cruz, and Quail Creek – Veterans Municipal Parks. Visit the parks during the month of October to view mural installations depicting themes of Sahuarita’s culture, economy and landscape. Murals pay tribute to the star-scape, community garden, Whipple observatory, pecan orchards, and Saguaro blossoms.
