4. Volunteering with Sahuarita Police
   There are two programs for volunteering with SPD. The VIPS program is designed to address the increasing demands on law enforcement by providing vital support functions. The EXPLORERS program teaches youth discipline, respect, leadership skills, team work, and gives participants a chance to see police officers at work as well as in a personal setting. Explorers learn police equipment and procedures and provide numerous hours per month of community service. We have very high expectations of our volunteers and know that these program can make a significant difference.
