Homepage Spotlight - ALL NEWS Posted on June 02, 2025

A series of safety-focused construction projects at Town Hall will begin June 2, 2025. These improvements are designed to address safety concerns in key public-facing areas and ensure a secure and welcoming environment for staff, elected officials, and visitors.

Project Scope and Timeline
The construction will impact several areas within Town Hall.

  • Town Hall Council Chambers and Breakroom: Construction will take place through the end of June. The Council Chambers will be unavailable for events during July.
  • Town Hall Lobby and Town Clerk’s Window: Renovations will include replacing the front counter with a service window. This work will begin on June 10 and is expected to conclude by June 30.
  • Community Development Lobby: Construction will occur from June 2 to August 7. Customer access will remain available, though some disruptions, such as noise, are expected.

Adapted Public Access

Critical public services will continue in modified and/or temporary spaces.

  • Town Clerk Services: While the front counter is closed, staff will be stationed in the Sierrita Room to handle phone calls, deliveries, inquiries, and notary public requests. Clear signage will direct visitors to the Sierrita Room, ensuring uninterrupted services.
  • Community Development Services: At least one service window will remain open. However, customers are encouraged to use remote methods to conduct business whenever possible.

Remote Service Options
Residents are encouraged to utilize online resources and phone calls to alleviate the use of the temporary spaces available during construction.

The safety enhancements will provide long-term benefits for all who interact with Town Hall. Patience and cooperation from residents and visitors are appreciated.
