While we are disappointed with the outcome of Proposition 403 in yesterday’s election, we understand that the Sahuarita community has spoken, and we accept their decision.
I am very proud of our Town and thank the many residents who gave us their input and helped shape the details of the proposal, which was truly rooted in community feedback. I also appreciate everyone who worked hard to communicate the Town’s needs and the projects included in Prop 403.
This effort was the first time Sahuarita has pursued bonding as a funding mechanism and it was important for residents to learn about this typical financial mechanism used by cities and towns for needed improvements. The Town leadership will continue planning efforts to meet the future needs of Sahuarita as our community grows.
