On June 13 and June 20, 2025, the Sahuarita Police Department (SPD) responded to multiple locations in the Rancho Sahuarita subdivision, reference reports of suspicious devices. Officers located multiple devices that appeared to be an explosive, or simulated explosive. The Pima Regional Bomb Squad responded to each incident, successfully rendering the devices safe. Throughout the course of several weeks, SPD Detectives worked to identify the suspect(s) in these cases.

On July 11, 2025, SPD Detectives and the Pima County Regional Bomb Squad served two search warrants on persons of interest in north Rancho Sahuarita, the 400 block of E. Calle Escora, and the 14000 block of S. Paseo Puente Alas Estrellas.

At this time, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is continuing. The SPD will keep our community informed of any arrests or significant developments.
