The Town of Sahuarita appreciates the time and effort of each volunteer and the many groups that help keep our community safer, cleaner, and more beautiful.
You can help keep Sahuarita cleaner and safer by participating in Adopt-a-Roadway and Adopt-a-Wash.
More than 250 individuals from groups, clubs, families, civic group and community groups, businesses, churches and schools participate in our Adopt programs. Volunteer adopters sign a renewable two-year permit and agree to clean their area:
- Adopt-a-Roadway participants perform cleanups about every three months.
- Adopt-a-Wash volunteers do cleanups about every six months. Two washes are available for adoption.
Public Works provides adopters safety signage and training, plus clean-up equipment - trash bags, reflective vests, gloves and trash pickers - and removes the collected trash after each clean-up. As a thank you, the Town provides two signs along the adopted road or wash acknowledging the affiliated group.
