Beth Abramovitz/Assistant Town Manager

Beth Abramovitz

Beth Abramovitz was originally hired on as the Assistant Town Engineer and within two years was promoted to Public Works Director. She now holds the title of both Assistant Town Manager and Town Engineer.

The Assistant Town Manager provides executive leadership and supervision to selected division and department directors, while aiding the Town Manager in various duties.

During her career Abramovitz has had a wide variety of experience ranging from a construction inspector and water tower inspector to in-house engineering services for a Fortune 500 company.

Abramovitz is a native to Pennsylvania and has lived in Tucson for the past 10 years. She has a Bachelors’ of Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters’ of Science from Drexel University in Civil Engineering. She is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona and has held licenses in 6 other states.

Abramovitz is a proud dog mom of three, one of her dogs has appeared in two promotional videos for the town.

Mark Felix/Management Assistant


Mark Felix is the Management Assistant in the Office of the Town Manager. Prior to transferring to the Town Manager’s Office, Mark was the Paralegal for the Civil Department in the Department of Law for over 4 years.

Mark has over 30 years of experience as a Paralegal in the legal field with extensive experience in municipal, real estate, financial, corporate, and business law.

Mark has been a resident of Sahuarita since 1981 and graduated from Sahuarita High School.

Mark is currently completing his bachelor’s degree at Columbia Southern University. 

Nathan Barrett/Management Analyst


Nathan Barrett was hired as Management Analyst in the Town Manager’s office in October 2022. In that position, he researches policy for the Town Manager, tracks legislative issues that can affect the Town, serves as a liaison between the Town and numerous state and federal agencies, and provides data for the Town Manager and Assistant Town Manager to support their decision making processes.

Barrett earned a bachelor’s degree in Geography from Brigham Young University in 2003, and moved to Tucson to pursue a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Arizona. He has worked as a planner for the San Xavier District, and most recently as a Program Coordinator for the Pima Association of Governments, where he spent eleven years immersed in transportation policy and finance.

Barrett is a resident of Sahuarita and prior to his employment with the Town, served for twelve years on the Town’s Planning and Zoning Commission. He remains active in other volunteer and service activities around the community.
