The town council consists of seven elected officers who serve four-year staggered terms, one of whom is designated as mayor and one of whom is designated as vice mayor.
Council-Manager Form of Government
The town uses a council-manager form of government. The town council handles the legislative responsibilities, such as setting policies, passing local laws, approving budgets, and shaping the town’s long-term vision. The town manager, appointed by the council, serves as the chief administrative officer and oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring that town services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and fairly.
