What Is It?
The EZ Permit is a new program that is in response to customer feedback requesting a simpler permitting process for residents who need to file for a one-off residential permit. EZ Permit is available to homeowners/residents only. Contractors may not apply for permits through EZ Permit.
How Does It Help?
It is intended to assist residents with specific permit types, allowing residents to skip the permitting software and instead to submit a simple form with basic owner and project information. Community Development staff will then enter your permit into our permitting software for you.

- Spa
- Rolling Shades
- Outdoor Gas Line
- Outdoor Electrical
- Water Heater Like-for-like
What Does It Cost?
There is an additional charge of $40 for the service, equivalent to 0.5 hours of staff time.
How Long Will This Program Last?
The program is being brought on as a pilot program with an approximate duration of 9 months.
How do I apply for an EZ Permit?
There are two ways to apply for an EZ Permit.
- WEBSITE: Fill out our electronic online form at EZ Permit Application, uploading your application documents in the form. Or,
- EMAIL: Send us an email to buildapps@sahuaritaaz.gov, attaching your application documents in the email.
