On April 20, 2024, at approximately 07:51 PM, Officers of the Sahuarita Police Department were dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile from a group home located in the 300 Block of E. Camino Limon Verde. Officers arrived on the scene and later learned that 14-year-old Luciano Conde left the group home in an unknown direction. Officers also learned that Luciano was nonverbal, and through the investigation, Luciano was found to be an at-risk missing juvenile.
The SPD began a systematic search of the area, requested air assets from the Pima County Sheriff's Department, and deployed SPD drone assets to assist in the search. An attempt to locate was also sent to all law enforcement agencies in the State. The search for Luciano continued through the night and continued throughout the day on April 21.
Arizona Rangers and Arizona Department of Corrections K9s were contacted and responded to the area to assist. At approximately 1412 hours, Luciano was located safe and sound on the Tohono O'odham Nation Reservation by a TOPD Officer.
