[SAHUARITA, AZ – May 28, 2024] – Sahuarita Police have identified the body found last weekend in the wash area near Abrego and Duval Mine Rd. The deceased is Sahuarita resident Elizabeth Guillen, 47. Guillen's next of kin has been notified.
The preliminary investigation lead detectives to believe she may have fallen and sustained injury. At this time there is no known cause of death or indication of foul play. An autopsy is underway, and those results are anticipated in the coming days.

On May 25, 2024, at approximately 0932 hours, SPD officers were dispatched to an area near the intersection of Abrego and Nogales Hwy. Upon arrival, our officer located a deceased person in the wash area.
SPD Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists are investigating the scene. More information, including the identity of the deceased, will be disclosed at a later time.
